Its ok, but you have to install the app to use all features

The media could not be loaded.

This is ok, I am not a huge fan of being required to install an app to use all the features. The lights under the keys can make it difficult to see the printed letters on each one, but not a big deal if you can type blindly. The lights are bright with the ability to turn off completely or dim. The keys are smooth and dont seem to stick. The LCD panel is a little strange since the 1st thing it says when you turn it on is a scrolling "I love you" LOL. The key caps are removeable amd can be replaced - they are hard hitting caps, so that may require frequent replacement if used regularly. They do not include the cap remover, so make sure to have one on hand.

Build qualityGasket mounting is very squishy which I love. The entire case is plastic and can flex a lot for something that's 2x the price of budget boardsTyping soundActually pretty nice because of the gasket mount, but the switches and keycaps themselves could be improvedKeycapsMy favorite part actually. They look great in a variety of lighting and the legends are easy to read. Legends are a bit fuzzy due to the zippy-zippy texturing of all the keycaps.SwitchesLinear. They feel really nice in terms of weight (maybe 50gf?) but have a lot of shaft wobble. They are pretty scratchy too. Luckily this is hotsewppableRGBLots of settings and customization. Very bright! Makes keycaps hard to read unless you lower the brightness.Overall it's a good board, but personally I'd go HE at this price if you care about performance and want linear switches.

Great look on the carbon forged keys

So glad i got the forged carbon keycaps. I was wanting the green because it looked cool on the black frame. As soon as the sunlight (pictured) hit this just right, I knew this was the right choice. I have portable lightweight keyboards but this wireless and somewhat portable keyboard works as you would expect while providing an LED light show and the satisfying feel of a keyboard of old -but smoother- and look good doing it. Out of all of my gaming keyboards I have, this one is probably going to be tied for favorite alongside my Robotech-themed keyboard I put together. I thought I might replace the keycaps on this but after seeing them in the sunlight, this board looks perfect as-is. The keys look almost similar to my Mother-of-Pearl inlaid fretboard on my guitar.

Style is of course subjective, and I can understand why this look isn't for everyone. The clear keycaps are a different look, but the bright LEDs can cause glare, and the lettering on the keycaps can be hard to read, due to a lack of contrast. I like the feel of the keyboard though. Actuation is smooth and linear, and I've always appreciated the OEM profile for how it feels. Thicker, larger keycaps such as MOA often can provide a deeper sound and 'thock' though. The sound profile here is higher pitched and while it's not unpleasant, it's not satisfying either. In the video, I'm comparing the X87 Ultra to an ABM084. Both are higher pitched, but the ABM084 is a little more muted and satisfying to me.On the software side, I love that this keyboard supports QMK. Just pop over to QMK.top and you can adjust and update key mappings or function keys as you wish. No third party software or weird drivers required - just a straight up web driver that works well.As for the rest of the keyboard, it uses south facing LED, which can get blindingly bright. The switches are 5-pin, lubed and feel great, and are perfect for me - not too light and not too heavy. Because they're clear, they're not double-shot though, which means the lettering is embossed on top of the keys. It's hard to say how long they'll last.Overall, this is a solid keyboard for the price. Attack Shark has been a recent favorite of mine, for the combination of value and functionality. I wish there was more sound dampening on this, and a deeper sound profile, but it's still a solid keyboard.

Attack Shark has done a great job on this keyboard. The materials and performance are a 10/10

As someone who owns multiple Attack Shark products I can say they are not all winners however that is not the case with this one. This keyboard looks, feels, and even sounds awesome! The design and smoke look is really cool and the RGB's are very bright! The keyboard cable is very high quality and gives a nice gamer look. I have used this both with the 2.4ghz dongle (which looks cool by the way) as well as directly connected via the included spiraled USB-C cable. The material seems to be really high quality and it seems very durable. The click is moderatly there. It's not like a crazy loud click by any means but it does have a good tactile feel. The polling rate at 8k is nuts and doesn't seem to be an over exaggeration. Overall a really nice gaming keyboard you will love as long as you are okay without having the 10-key portion. This is an 87% keyboard after all.

Whether for you or a gift,

Attack Shark makes some really cool looking keyboards. While heavier than normal keyboards, they are well worth every penny. Satisfying clicks and feel to the keys, full control through the web app or desktop application you can download from their site. I strongly recommend to everyone that if you are butting this keyboard or any of their gear, go to the website for the accompanying application that unlocks the keyboard’s or a mouse’s potential with manual settings for sensitivity, command function, and other options. I never in a million years, or even a year ago, thought I’d be all bout buying a pricey keyboard or more, because you think, “it’s just a keyboard.”, but these are so much more than what a standard keyboard offers, from gaming domination to setting up macros for DAW, video editing, illustration, and entertainment software. With the ability to customize keycap designs (buying key cap kits) to personalize the look of your keyboard. I have one setup like an anime-style look from Gundam, and another setup to match the mat on my table

Well built, good feeling and sounding keyboard.

LOVE the X87 from Attack Shark!! This thing rocks. Love the typing, love the response and the tactile feedback when clicking/typing a key. It has great response and seems really fast. It has a lot of color options and they are bright!!! I like the cap text/symbols and they are big and easy to read. The forged carbon look is pretty cool. The cable is hardcore, much more robust than the standard thin little cable most keyboards come with. Love it when its all green. Super cool.

Mr. Review

The ATTACK SHARK X87 Ultra Mechanical Keyboard offers Tri-Mode connectivity, so a 2.4GHz USB-C dongle that's shaped like a shark fin, Bluetooth, or simply wired mode for 8K polling, which matches the 2.4GHz mode. The X87 Ultra reminds me of the M87 PRO model, which also featured a similar styled durable matte plastic keyboard deck with a lightbar; however, the X87 Ultra adds a small retro Dot Matrix display that can be customized and the side light bars around the left and right front sides of the keyboard deck.ATTACK SHARK seems to be on a carbon fiber blitz in 2026, with numerous gaming mice and keyboard decks offering carbon fiber builds. The X87 Ultra offers carbon fiber styled keycaps in the Forge Carbon style variation I ordered here for review. These translucent carbon fiber keycaps honestly look pretty cool, and the diffused lighting really picks up the pattern on each keycap. They also pass-through alot of LED light, and with a white keycap font used, the keys are virtually illegible, unfortunately, with most colour LED variations, except darker blue. At least in low-light situations, such as at night in a dimly lit room. Your only real option is to lower the backlight to its lowest level to improve the legibility. Note, there are about 20 different Light Effects built in, and then you can customize them as well using the web driver interface. The web-based driver works quite well, and I appreciate this option over installing another App.The custom "Mega Shark" linear switches are indeed smooth, fast, and damn, they are click clacky versus thocky in my opinion. This is a mechanical keyboard, and everyone around you is going to know it, everyone ;) The five-level shock absorption doesn't dampen the sound as much as the M87 PRO in comparison; however, it is rigid, and there is no vibration. The key travel is lightning quick, so that, along with the 8K polling rate, makes it a speedy gaming keyboard. I found it comfortable to type on; however, it is pretty unforgiving if your finger typing accuracy is off, given how fast it feels.Overall, if you like very, very bright keyboard backlighting, a fast linear typing experience and a keyboard with a bit more style, given the carbon fiber keycaps, the X87 Ultra will likely fit the bill. The retro LED Matrix is a nice little flourish versus the LCD screen as well. A recommended buy based on my experience using it for review; however, hopefully you'll catch it on a bit of a deal, as it does have a slight premium price at just over $100 at the time of this review. It is also available in a couple of different styles, if carbon fiber keycaps aren't your preference.
