Amazing product

I was seeking an Alice style keyboard with side lighting, and this one fit the bill in terms of price. However, it requires assembly by installing switches then keycaps before use for a seamless hot-swappable experience. The typing experience is impressive thanks to internal dampening and satisfying blue switch sounds while RGB south facing LEDs create amazing lightning effects configurable through various settings including styles brightness and sidebar options controlled by FN + key combinations. The knob is made of metal material providing an excellent addition to an already amazing keyboard.Overall rating would be reduced from 5 due to non shine thru keycaps which can become difficult to read at low lit environments but easily replaceable. Would buy again!

Great Typing Experience, Tricky Setup, and Limited VIA Support

The keyboard feels very nice and the build quality is decent. It’s a bit difficult to insert the switches, but once they’re in, everything works fine. I like having buttons to switch between Mac, Windows, and other connection modes. I also really like the overall feel and look of the keyboard. For VIA, you need to download the JSON file from the Ajazz website, not from Epomaker. VIA only works in wired mode, not over 2.4GHz. Using VIA is very convenient since you can configure everything directly from the browser without extra software. The RGB isn’t very bright, but it’s nice to have it.

Just shy of perfect!

I work in a noisy RF environment, so wireless, especially 2.4ghz, is pointless for me and I don't want a battery in a device when it is completely unnecessary. My wrists are not great due to injuries and drumming, let alone typing, so ergonomics are important for me. I also go with repairable products as much as possible, so a hot swap board was a huge bonus. This board has everything I was looking for including a configurable rotary encoder, decent feeling keycaps, backlit (don't really care about rbg, just need some light), USB-C, Alice layout, 68% layout with configurable layers, and it is even QMK/VIA compatible with the JSON file from the company's website (don't use their VIA installer though, it's deprecated and the JSON works fine with VIA v3 if you turn on v2 functions in Design settings after you load the JSON file - get VIA directly from VIA's website).I only have two complaints. Anything considered ergonomic should have adjustment in the front as well as the back. I solved this with a set of "laptop stands" that turned out to be perfect for my wrist position on this board in conjunction with my desk setup. It would, however, have been nice to have this built in.Two of my keycaps were scratched in shipping, but honestly, that's really not a big issue. At the end of the day, this is an amazing deal for a solid keyboard. It sounds great out of the box and can definitely be made better with little effort. I genuinely like it so much, I will likely get a wireless one for home.

Can't find the screws??

Bought as a little cheap project board but I couldn't for the life of me find the screws... I still added a couple small mods and its nice though! It is hotswapable and when they said its prelubed they like r e a l l y lubed lmaoMaybe a good starter board because it has everything you need for a basic board with a sightly more advanced alice layout :3

I honestly expected to not like this, and I was wrong.

I spend a LOT of time in front of a keyboard, and my entire computing environment is designed to be heavily keyboard driven. I really expected the layout to be absolutely terrible, but needed to try some ergonomic options. I'm happy to say that none of my expectations played out. I would like a slightly stiffer upper plastic component, and a dedicated `/~ key (as a UNIX user who writes alot of markdown, those are handy keys), but those are the two issues I had. Well worth including in the keyboard arsenal.

I like the ergonomic layout, compact footprint and sound when typing

Yes, this keyboard is cheap. Yes, it's flimsy. You can grab it on both ends/sides and twist it. Just like in the youtube video by MechTech Keyboards. And although I have a GMMK TKL and a Roccat Vulcan TKL and 104, this keyboard has a much better sound and feel than either of those. And I like this layout better than the standard Alice layout. What I mean is the W key, and then the E key flow at a smooth angle from the Q key instead of the abrupt change of a true Alice layout. It just flows so much nicer and is visually less jarring. One thing I really didn't like about this keyboard is the sharpness of the spacebar caps on my thumbs. I use mine completely flat on my desk with a Razer wrist rest. It became really annoying. So I ripped 'em out and put them back on upside down, tilting the forward edge down, and now they are super comfortable! And they look kinda cool that way too! See the included pic.Never using VIA before left me very frustrated trying to get this all set up the first time. And I get frustrated easily lol. So my advice to anyone purchasing this keyboard is to scroll down to the manufacturers description and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and read the other reviews. Except when you get to the website caniusevia.com there is now a browser based via app there that you can use without having to download and install anything.I really didn't like how they had the missing keys mapped out. At all. So I cleared them all and moved the HOME and END keys to Fn plus the left and right arrows, as well as Fn plus PgUp and PgDn. I also moved Ins to Fn+Del, and PrScr to Fn+Up arrow. And it worked. But was a little unintuitive and cumbersome having to move my right hand from the home row and accommodate all the keys. So I was looking for another Fn key I could use and didn't want to use Ctrl, Win or Alt for that so I played around with the left Spacebar as a second Fn key, since I don't use the spacebar with my left hand ever, and it worked! I have the Fn key assigned to Layer1 and the left spacebar as Layer2. I love it!To summarize, I really like this keyboard. Accidentally pressing Alt and Left arrow blew up a half hour of typing on my fav forum, but I will eventually make friends with it. I love the color scheme, but I do wish the caps were shine thru. But there are several very cheap (ie. $19-29) 60%-65% keyboards here on amazon that you can buy just for the shine thru caps.

an incredible value

this keyboard is truly one of the best budget keyboards i have ever tried. i never write reviews, but this keeb has all of the hot features the community has been seeking: hotswap, bt, wireless usb, wired usb c, rgb, rotary knob etc. what's crazier is that there's even more amazing features it comes with straight from the box.1. split layout: this is not a fully split keyboard, but the layout is well designed with just the right amount of difference to produce a more ergonomic experience w/o sacrificing too much of the user comfort and familiarity with the standard layout.2. comes with great linear switches and keycaps: the 3-pin ajazz sea salt linear switches are well pre-lubed and actually sound amazing, with great thocc sound without any modifications. they even provide 2 extra switches. the keycap themes look amazing and sound great as well, seems like thicker abs plastic.3. build quality: despite being made from plastic, the plastic build is truly fantastic, super durable, no flex, smooth all over, and helps produce a great thock sound.3. beginner-friendly: switching btwn connection modes is intuitive with the toggle switches at the top of the board, the rotary knob works seamlessly as default for volume control, and switching through rgb effects works perfectly. box comes with keycap and switch removers, clear manual, and usb c cable.4. board and feet: everything feels perfect with this board, and the feet are sturdy and balanced. the rgb is really good and there are even customizable side lights on the board!5. mind-blowing value: just the switches and keycaps themselves could be sold separately for nearly as much as buying the entire board itself. this was such an insane deal, truly. it also arrived within 2 days with amazon prime.the only cons may be that it doesn't seem like the board can be taken apart. you can remove the switches, but the board can't be opened up. additionally, the first board i received appears to have been used already, and the packaging was damaged. the keyboard was fine though.but overall, the best steal i've had in a while. was considering gatekeeping.important note: i initially thought the board was defective b/c of the padding on top of the PCB. it appears that the padding is meant to be stabbed into with the switches themselves. just form a dent with the switch and then firmly push down. test one key to make sure it works.

Teclado mecánico espectacular. Estructura sólida, robusta y con peso. El tacto es muy bueno. No tiene nada que envidiar a otros más caros y de marcas reconocidas.Para iniciarse o tunearlo está impresionante.Calidad/precio inmejorable. 100% Recomendado.

This is a keyboard kit, not a finished keyboard.

The product title does not indicate that you are buying a keyboard kit that requires assembly. This should be part of the title and is the only reason that I did not give this item a 5 star rating. The chassis comes ready for switch installation. Install the keycaps and charge it and you are ready to go.Once the keyboard is assembled, it is worthy of a 5 star rating. Very nice. Has nice features. Great feel. Solid build components. Mine came with a Keycap puller and a Switch puller. Also came with a couple of extra switches. Response on this board using the 2.4ghz wireless is fantastic! Extremely quick. Controls for RGB backlighting are good. Fn key allows numeric keys to act as the Function keys (F keys) on a full size keyboard. This is very important to me because I develop software and use the function keys constantly in my work. Keycap colors aren't the most attractive or standard but I was not looking for style points!

Amazing keyboard and a perfect support from seller

I really like to keyboard, it’s very solid and perfect for this price. Everything works as expected, it’s supporting VIA and I customize a lot of thing with that. Also, I would like to give a huge thanks to seller because their supports about the keyboard. Really recommend it

Tastiera straordinaria per il prezzo, comoda da usare e anche il rumore dei tasti è molto piacevole.

Not bad for the price

It's a nice little keyboard for the price, and I am happy. The Alice layout is fine if you are used to it. The left space bar on mine doesn't work and also sticks closed. I'm not sure yet if that can be fixed. All the other keys work fine. The package did turn up having been bashed around, but I'm not sure I can put a single sticking key down to that. It was only apparent once it had been opened. The usefulness of the backlighting is minimal because the letters on the keycaps are not illuminated. And the switches are a little cheap - I would not describe them as crisp, clean and precise. But it wouldn't cost too much to swap them out. While I'm at it, the font on some of the keys is a bit odd and it isn't a UK layout. But I am nitpicking here. Overall, I would recommend it - although it isn't as good a first mechanical keyboard as the NEWMEN GM610, which has a much more tactile and precise key switch action. In fact, I might swap those into this.

Mein daylie keyboard für zu Hause und Arbeit

Klingt wirklich gut und tippt sehr gut. Für mich das perfekte Layout, nicht zu viele Tasten, aber dedizierte Arrow Keys und trotzdem relativ handlich.

Surprisingly good keyboard for the price.

I bought this keyboard to bring into work. It's really well made. They keyboard sits on a flexible gasket, makingthe keys are comfortable to type on. There are two levels of height adjustment, and it's solid on the desk with no slipping. Lastly, there's a nice "thocky" sound when typing, and the brown switches provided are lovely (and quiet in an office environment). DEFINITELY worth a look!

Alice Layout Keyboard: Budget Gateway

This keyboard is my introduction to the Alice layout, and I'm hooked—on the layout, at least. Key registration is flawless and VIA works seamlessly for custom mapping. The build is cheap and plastic throughout, but that's what you pay for at this price point. It gets the job done as a daily driver for work without any issues. The real takeaway: the Alice layout matters far more to me than premium materials. This board proved it to me and sparked a hunt for a higher-end version with the same ergonomic split design.Worth it as a layout explorer. Not worth it if you care about build quality.Rating: 7.5/10
