The keyboard is just like in the reviews you'll find for it on YouTube. Sounds amazing out of the box and is an absolute pleasure to type on. I'm coming from a Deriya DK61 with optical Gateron brown switches, and this is a night and day difference in terms of quality and experience. Each key press has a soft marble-like sound to it, with no rattling or ticking to be heard. The video recording using my phone mic doesn't do it justice. This is a perfect buy if you are looking to upgrade to a "custom" keyboard and don't want to deal with having to mod the keyboard yourself. The actual model of the keyboard is a "Xinmeng M71".The keyboard comes with some extra keycaps in the box (different color spacebar, backspace, enter key, other key caps for switches not present on the board such as numpad, function keys, look on YouTube or other websites to see the full package contents), as well as a basic keycap/switch puller and a USB-C cable. One gripe, the USB-C cable it comes with isn't very good. The cable is not braided and has a straight connector. A right-angle connector would have been nicer, at least for my desk setup. I used the right-angle cable from my other board here. The 2.4 GHz wireless USB connection seems to work very well, I haven't seen any hiccups in connection so far.The full aluminum body is awesome, giving the keyboard a hefty weight to it that I haven't experienced before. I would say it's not really portable due to the weight. The aluminum does have a finish to it that feels a bit powdery, something that I'm sure could wash off. I heard others with the black/white model mention that rubbing your fingers on it leaves streak marks (that come off), but I don't experience this with the lavender color I got.The switches are factory lubed Outemu White Jade linear; they feel very smooth and responsive. Coming from brown tactile switches, and having used linear before, I missed the smooth buttery feel that linear switches provide. I don't have much experience with different switches in general, but these feel GREAT to use.The keycaps are really nice too, double shot PBT and lovely colors. I will say that I noticed a couple of the keycaps are ever so slightly different from the rest. Those ones are single shot, with a fraction of a shade of color difference in the key, and having a keycap stem that's about half a millimeter longer than the others. This results in the key sitting ever so slightly higher up than the others, but is not noticeable unless you look for it specifically. The menu key on the bottom row is affected by this (see picture). The software for the keyboard can be found online with some googling around and has basic features like allowing you adjust the auto-sleep timer on the board, program macros, set custom key assignments, and add a custom color option to the lighting effects. Custom lighting animations, however, cannot be created. Only through the software can you access different light reaction modes where the backlight acts as a music visualizer for sounds playing through your PC, although the responsiveness and effect is generally lackluster.Overall, I love this keyboard and recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their current set up, especially if they want to get something that sounds and performs amazing right out of the box.Note: in my pictures and video, the keyboard is shown with some light blue and pink colored key caps that I added separately.

Everything about this keyboard is perfect except possibly one thing I will get to shortly. First, this is fully mechanical, with a VERY solid build ( heavy ) - Made of aluminum you will feel this when typing in a good way. No movement. Solid sound. This is a fully mechanical keyboard with replaceable keycaps and switches. The switches are "linear". For those that don't know what that means, there are three main categories of switches.Clicky - Audible click sound in the Switch ( probably a bad idea in office environment or near someones bedroom when using the computerTactile - A distinct feeling of activation when pressing the keycap/switch ( like you are overcoming a certain threshold before the key moves downLinear - No distinct feeling of activation - That's what these are. Linear force with no feeling of activationThese sound fantastic. They feel fantastic. They perform VERY well. I can type about 80 wpm and if you listen to the video you will hear that nice sound that this keyboard produces. This is a result of keyboard build quality, switches and keycaps. As they all come together for their unique audible qualities that really make this keyboard stand out. You will love this keyboard!Connectivity is fantastic. Bluetooth, cable or 2.4ghz. - The dongle for 2.4ghz has it's own storage "garage" in the keyboard ( nice touch ) - I prefer using a cable, but the battery in this does perform quite well. I get about 2 weeks between charges. The only MINOR complaint is lack of feet adjustment. You get this keyboard at a set angle and some people might prefer being able to adjust the typing angle. That is the only drawback and a minor one at that. I really find this not to be an issue at all. Some might.I have this keyboard a 98/100 and I feel just about anyone will absolutely LOVE this keyboard. JUST GET IT!

Amazing features and quality for the price

I've had my eye on this keyboard after seeing some some promising reviews on youtube. The case is full CNC'd aluminum with polycarbonate plate and (poron) gasket mount. The most interesting part is the 71-key layout, which gives you a few of extra of the useful keys from a full size keyboard.Initially, I was a little upset that the keyboard did not come of the advertised TTC clear switches (listing now updated to reflect the White Jade switches that it came with), as the switches it came with appeared to be Outemu. But after contacting the seller, it turns out these are custom White Jade switches made by Outemu. After using them for a while, I was impressed. They are factory lubed, but are quite loud and poppy out of the box. The springs are pretty light, and feel lighter than my other 45g switches. These feel closer to a 38g. They are long pole, so have a nice pop at end of travel. The springs are also quite long, around 22mm, so there's a nice snap back. With the PC plate and poron gaskets, the typing experience is quite pleasant. I did end up hand lubing the switches with Krytox 205G0 just to quiet and smooth them out a bit.As far as issues, there are a couple things that weren't perfect. There are two keycaps, the Del and Menu keys that didn't quite match the colors of the rest of the keycaps, when I took them off, I found out they are dye-sub instead of double shot like the rest of the caps. A friend bought a silver M71 after I showed him mine, and his keyboard also had the slightly off color Del and Menu key. However, it was much more obvious due to the Soymilk theme of the keycaps. The flex of the board was a little inconsistent, as the right side was quite flexible and soft, but under the "E R T" keys it barely moved. I opened up the keyboard and found that one of the PCB cables to the mode switch was not properly routed in the bottom case channel, so it was keeping the board from flexing in that spot. The poron gaskets are also pretty thin and didn't give much room to flex. I end up replacing the stock gaskets with 3.5mm thick Poron gaskets (but only on the ends, as this PC plate was clearly designed for silicone socks).Overall, I'm very happy with the board. It's got 3-mode connection, south facing RGB LEDs, gasket mount (even though it could be improved), PC plate and full set of keycaps that can be moved to another board if you like, and some very nice long pole, extended spring switches. Even for it's small faults, I would still highly recommend it!

A well-equipped stater enthusiast keyboard

This is a fairly popular keyboard among keyboard enthusiasts mainly for its value. You get a fully built custom keyboard in a small form factor. It boasts a lot of enthusiasts’ features such as gasket mounting, a hot swappable PCB that accepts 3 or 5-pin switches, south-facing RGB LEDs, a polycarbonate plate, adequate sound dampening, and pre-lubed switches.Out of the box, I think you’re going to be pleased with the quality of the board. Most people are going to also be happy with the sound.Of course, you’re going to purchase this on it’s modding potential. You can outfit this with different switches to get a different sound and feel as well as different keycaps to match your aesthetic. For it’s price, you definitely get a lot of value. Did I mention this thing can also be wireless and has decent battery life? Gaming is okay on 2.4Ghz and is a no-go on Bluetooth so I would definitely use it wired. In a pinch, you can connect it to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth. Last, but not least, it’s compatible with Mac.It’s a great value if you’re on the fence about the keyboard modding hobby but aren’t quite ready to take a more expensive leap and especially if you’re tired of plastic keyboards.I had gotten into the hobby a LOOONG time ago and my daily driver has been a Filco TKL for over a decade. Seeing the advances in keyboards, how much the hobby has become more accessible and the new options that are now available, I wanted to get back into it. I have never used anything but a full sized keyboard or my trusty TKL so I was curious about the 65% form factor but I didn’t want to get a “cheap” board nor do I want a “gamer” keyboard. So far I really like the smaller form factor. I very rarely use my F-keys and the functionality still exists if I ever need it by just hitting Fn and a Number. I get to keep my directional arrows and still have my Nav keys. For me this was a win.

The thoughtful packaging includes a cable, some button covers with tools, and a detailed manual. Its die-cast housing is heavy enough to sit firmly on a desk. The keys hit smoothly with just the right amount of clicking sound. 100% satisfied so far, will re-evaluate this M71 after using it for a while. Worth recommending, and hope you will enjoy the same

Can’t find replacement keycaps

This is a heavy, nice-sounding keyboard that is very popular. However I wanted to replace the keycaps and was unable to find a set of Cherry or OEM profile keycaps that includes a Row 2 Delete key. If you can use flat profile keycaps or the ones that come with the keyboard, then you will be very happy. Unfortunately I had to return it.

Best Keyboard Ever Bought

I went through 2 Corsair keyboards before picking this one. I've had this for 2 years and it's still going strong with no issues. If you're looking for a nice decently priced keyboard, go for this. You won't be disappointed!

Got myself this as a gift after browsing around for while for a Mechanicak Keyboard! Love this thing, it's fully CNC-ed aluminum and has a very satisfying weight and feel to it. Sounds good too but i'm not an expert

I love this keyboard! The aluminum build is very solid and heavy. The keys are just the right weight, it looks stunning, and it works right when you plug it in. I agree with the other reviewer that the switches need a bit of lubrication but they are fine enough as is.

I absolutely love aluminum keyboards. They are heavier and more premium feeling and look really good. This is a beautiful keyboard at an amazing price. You can’t go wrong.

The build quality is outstanding, and the keyboard feels sturdy and well-made. The battery life is impressive, lasting a long time between charges, which is a big plus for me.After researching various keyboards on YouTube, I found that this one met all my expectations. It has a lot of great features and offers excellent performance for the price. One area for improvement is the keycaps design. In the dark, I struggled to type even with the backlit lighting on. If the keycaps were designed better for visibility, this keyboard would be a perfect 10/10.

For mac, double click the Fn key to change between number and Function keys.I love the sound of this keyboard, i love the way it looks, its my first mechanical keyboard and its really great. Some keys probably need a little lubing, most notably the enter key.

Don't hesitate - get this keyboard!

Straight out of the box, this keyboard feels weighty, solid and you can feel the quality of the build just by handling it. The keys make a light thocky sound, without needing any modding. It sounds incredible. I've been able to swap out some of the keycaps with some customized caps, and there's been no issue with compatibility or sticking. The keyboard itself is the apex of aesthetic, the color is true to photo (I got the purple one). I've been working on a pastel setup and this fit the theme perfectly. I love this keyboard so much!Best of all, the battery life is insane. You can plug it in for a few hours and have it run wirelessly the rest of the week with no issue. I love that it also auto-detects when it's not in use and powers down to conserve battery life. Two quick taps on any key and it wakes back up.Love it so much!

I love this keyboard, it feels great right out of the box with white jade switches, which are linear with an actuation of I would guess about 50g. The solid aluminum construction with 4 layers of foam makes for some amazing sounds. Overall amazing keyboard for the price only complaint is out of the box the numbers weren't working which I fixed by pressing fn+enter.
